This assessment generated empirical baseline data for the BEACON project to establish reliable benchmarks and validate indicators that will guide effective implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. It focuses on assessing existing energy access, sources, consumption patterns, costs, and efficiency at household, institutional, and community levels within the Majhi community of Melamchi Municipality. The study also includes a Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices (KAP) analysis of key energy stakeholders, alongside policy and stakeholder mapping to support evidence-based implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives, aligned with national climate commitments and policy frameworks.
